A second, identical sofa is positioned opposite, forming a comfortable, U-shaped conversation pit, centered around a low, modular walnut coffee table. The ceiling, previously a series of recessed boxes, is now a statement piece. It features a suspended, multi-layered design with brushed aluminum accents and integrated, warm LED strip lighting that can be adjusted for color temperature and intensity. This adds depth and drama, enhancing the sense of a sophisticated workspace. The wooden sample display units are reconfigured into a more streamlined, built-in system along the adjacent wall, featuring sliding panels that reveal curated material samples behind frosted glass, maintaining a clean aesthetic while providing easy access. The floating staircase, a highlight of the original design, remains, its dark wood treads and glass balustrades complemented by a new, slim bronze handrail. The surrounding environment is imagined as a high-rise urban setting. Through the blinds, the hazy glow of a late afternoon sun dips behind a cityscape visible in the distance, its muted tones reflected subtly in the glass elements of the workshop. This view, though partially obscured, adds a sense of place and sophisticated urbanity.
